I am a jewellery designer and trained at the Design Centre Enmore. I mostly use silver in my work but also like to experiement with other materials such as porcelain, hair, fishing line and found objects.
Much of the work you will see on this site has been influenced by the beautiful semi arid landscape around Broken Hill in Australia but recently I have started making work which is influenced by my experience of moving to live in New Zealand.
In my commercial work I seem to have become obsessed by different ways that I can make and combine circles. This originally came from thinking about lockets and while I still haven't made something that is a locket it's still in the back of my mind while I think about these shapes.
I have shown my work at Horus and Delorus, Sturt Gallery and Hope St and The Finders Keepers Markets in Sydney
re:re(a)d re:visited- Gaffa Gallery Crown Street, Surry Hills 31 July - 12 August. Group show with Nicolette Skobier, Carlie Henderson, Linda Blair, Brooke Johnston, Jane Reynolds, Christina Adamson, Sian Edwards and Bridget Kennedy.
I took part in the first re:re(a)d show three years ago. re: re(a)d re:visited has given us a chance to reinterpret the theme and to show what we are each working on now.
My work for the show is the Civic Reception series and an image of Civic Reception - Player 5 appears under exhibition work.
